General Tools - Digital Elevation Model Fusion - Wavelet Combination DEM

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Purpose

Digital Elevation Models with different spatial resolution can be combined.

Technical Note

A wavelet based fusion process is performed between the two input Digital Elevation Models.

Input Files

High Resolution Digital Elevation Model

File name of the high resolution Digital Elevation Model. This file is mandatory.

Low Resolution Digital Elevation Model

File name of the low resolution Digital Elevation Model. This file is mandatory.

Parameters - Principal Parameters

Spatial Wavelet size (m)

This tool substitutes the low pass components on the high frequency DEM with the low pass component on the low frequency DEM, starting from the set value. This parameter depends on the Low Resolution DEM.

Parameters - Global

It brings to the general section of the Preferences parameters. Any modified value will be used and stored for further processing sessions.

Parameters - Other Parameters

It brings to the general section of the Preferences parameters. Any modified value will be used and stored for further processing sessions.

Output Files

Output File

File name of the output combined Digital Elevation Model. This file is mandatory.

Output

_WCD_dem

Combined Digital Elevation Model with the associated header files (.sml, .hdr).

Details specific to the Units of Measure and Nomenclature of the output products can be found in the Data Format section.
