Preliminary details

it is important to note that the UAVSAR import module accepts currently only products of the type “coregistered SLC Stack” and enables further processing for only a limited number of SARscape functionalities.

Although JPL’s UAVSAR “coregistered SLC Stack”  products are co-registered repeat-pass acquisitions performed by JPL’s UAVSAR in interferometric geometry, with the aim of later performing tomography, the imported images cannot for the moment being be used in SARscape phase-based modules such as Interferometry, Coherence and Interferometric Stacking.

Moreover, all SARscape modules requiring joint amplitude-based processing of two or more images (e.g. Intensity Time Series, Stereo Radargrammetry) cannot be currently executed as well.

Extension to full SARscape processing capabilities for UAVSAR products of type “coregistered SLC Stack” will be offered in a later version of the software.

Purpose

 

This module provides import of JPL UAVSAR SLC airborne images freely available for download at https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/. The images than can be imported are those of type “SLC Coregistered stack” and can be obtained by performing a search in the “UAVSAR Data Search” page selecting the “SLC Stack” flag.

Supported Products

 

JPL UAVSAR SLC SAR products of “SLC Coregistered stack” type. For further details on the product type please read the information available at https://uavsar.jpl.nasa.gov/science/documents/stack-format.html.

 

Input Files

 

Input File

File name of the original Single Look Complex product (*.slc). This file is mandatory.

Please be aware that the import requires also two additional files:

•The annotations file with extension .ann

•The Doppler file with extension .dop

These files must be available in the same directory where the slc original product is and will be automatically found.

Output Files

 

Output file

Output file name of the imported data. This file is mandatory.

 

_slc        

Single Look Complex data and associated header files (.sml, .hdr).

 

Details specific to the Units of Measure and Nomenclature of the output products can be found in the Data Format section.
