ENVINITFCSMRasterSpatialRef::ConvertFileToMap

The ConvertFileToMap method converts a set of file (pixel) x,y coordinates to a set of map (x-easting, y-northing) coordinates within a NITF Community Sensor Model (CSM) spatial reference.

Example

See the example for ENVIStandardRasterSpatialRef::ConvertFileToMap. The use of this method is the same except that it is for use with a NITF CSM dataset.

Syntax

ENVINITFCSMRasterSpatialRef.ConvertFileToMap, FileX, FileY, MapX, MapY

Arguments

FileX

The pixel x-coordinate. You can specify a scalar or a vector of FileX values; if it is a vector, the FileY argument should also be a vector with the same number of elements:

File1X = [688.0, 641.1]

File1Y = [301.0, 280.0]

FileY

The pixel y-coordinate

MapX

A named variable that contains the map x-coordinate

Map Y

A named variable that contains the map y-coordinate

Keywords

ERROR

Set this keyword to a named variable that will contain any error message issued during execution of this routine. If no error occurs, the ERROR variable will be set to a null string (''). If an error occurs and the routine is a function, then the function result will be undefined.

When this keyword is not set and an error occurs, ENVI returns to the caller and execution halts. In this case, the error message is contained within !ERROR_STATE and can be caught using IDL's CATCH routine. See IDL Help for more information on !ERROR_STATE and CATCH.

See Manage Errors for more information on error handling in ENVI programming.
