Purpose
This tool allows downloading OpenStreetMap data and convert them into shapefile (.shp) format.
Technical Note
The data are gathered using Overpass API. If search type is set to Name, Nominatim is used for reverse geocoding.
The Overpass and Nominatim instances used are stored in osmconf.des, which can be found among the description files in the SARscape installation folder.
The manual query box is intended to be used by advanced users. If search method is set to manual, this field is expected to be filled with tags (in the key=value format) separated by commas. Further references and a full list of tags and possible key-value pairs can be found at the relevant wiki page or by visiting the taginfo website.
Input File(s)
Area of interest shape file or kml file in Geographic Coordinates
Input vector or kml to use as bounding box for the query. This file is mandatory only if search type is set to from vector.
