Preliminary details

The import process has been validated using a small dataset and a uncompleted parameter descriptions. For this reason, geolocalization and calibration might have issues.

Purpose

 

PALSAR data ß is the name of PALSAR products generated by the GEO Grid satellite system. These products must be imported into SARscape Data Format for further processing.

 

Technical Note

 

Details specific to this products can be found on the GEO Grid web pages.

 

Note that the ground range amplitude data (MGA products) cannot be geocoded in SARscape.

 

Supported Products

 

Single Look Complex as well as slant/ground range and orthorectified amplitude data are supported.

 

Input File(s)

 

Input file

File name of the orginal image/data file (.raw or .tif depending on the data type). This file is mandatory.

 

Sensor Parameter file

File containing sensor and acquisition related parameters (.txt). This file is mandatory.

 

Process Parameter file

File containing raster and processing related parameters (.par). This file is mandatory.

 

Output file

Output file name of the imported data. This file is mandatory.

 

Input Parameter(s)

 

Specify the product type (i.e. Single Look Complex, Multilook slant range or projected data) and the acquisition mode (i.e. FBS or FBD or PLR) of the data to import. The following data types are available:

 

•SCC_FBS        Single Look Complex, Single Polarisation

•SCC_FBD        Single Look Complex, Dual Polarisation

•SCC_PLR        Single Look Complex, Polarimetric Mode

•MSA_FBS        Multilook Slant Range Amplitude, Single Polarisation

•MSA_FBD        Multilook Slant Range Amplitude, Dual Polarisation

•MSA_PLR        Multilook Slant Range Amplitude, Polarimetric Mode

•MGA_FBS        Multilook Ground Range Amplitude, Single Polarisation

•MGA_FBD        Multilook Ground Range Amplitude, Dual Polarisation

•MGA_PLR        Multilook Ground Range Amplitude, Polarimetric Mode

•MGO_FBS        Multilook Ground Range Orthorectified Amplitude, Single Polarisation

•MGO_FBD        Multilook Ground Range Orthorectified Amplitude, Dual Polarisation

•MGO_PLR        Multilook Ground Range Orthorectified Amplitude, Polarimetric Mode

 

Output(s)

 

_pwr        

Multi-looked slant range Intensity image and associated header files (.sml, .hdr).

 

_slc        

Single Look Complex data and associated header files (.sml, .hdr).

The processing step is stored in the batch list. The Batch Browser button allows to load the batch processing list.
