DEM Extraction

Supported Products

The Digital Elevation Model extraction can be performed using one of the following products:

•AW3D30 ALOS Global Digital Surface Model (around 30 m resolution)

•The Geoscience Laser Altimeter System (GLAS) instrument on the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite (ICESat). With resolutions from 500 m to 1 km.

•GTOPO30 Digital Elevation Model (around 1 km resolution).

•RAMP Digital Elevation Model (around 200 m resolution).

•SRTM-3 (Version 2) Digital Elevation Model (around 90 m resolution).

•SRTM-3 (Version 4) Digital Elevation Model (around 90 m resolution).

•SRTM-1 (Version 3) Digital Elevation Model (around 30 m resolution).

•ALOS World 3D 30m) Digital Elevation Model (around 30 m resolution).

•TDM 90 Digital Elevation Model (around 90 m resolution).

•DTED Digital Elevation Model (around 30-90-900 m resolution).

•GMTED-2010 Digital Elevation Model (around 450 m resolution).

Users have the opportunity to import external DEM using the following import tools:

•TIFF

•Original ENVI Format

•Binary Format

Once the import has been performed, users have to verify if the DEM is characterized by geodetic or ellipsoidal elevation.
