Purpose

The cluster diagnostic is a one-click instrument that automatically collects, analyzes, and put into a single compressed file all the logging information from the SARscape client and the cluster processing nodes (SarsDaemons). The cluster diagnostic tool is particularly useful after a SARscape cluster-related issue to retrieve the information from all the machines used in the SARscape cluster configuration without the need to manually log into each one for investigating the root of the issue.

As the SARscape cluster data stored locally within each cluster processing node is overwritten when a new cluster process is started, please run the cluster diagnostic tool just after a cluster error is reported and before starting a new cluster processing, or the logging information will be lost.

In more detail, the cluster diagnostic performs the following steps:

- automatically downloads logging data and other useful pieces of information from all the cluster nodes into a local directory;

- analyzes the information available for each cluster node;

- displays such information to the user and stores it into a text file in the same local directory with the other logging files;

- creates a compressed file (.zip) that can be attached to support requests addressed to support@sarmap.ch
